Bernie Yvon (Michael) was last seen here at TATC splashing the audience as Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain. He appeared on Broadway as Harry Houdini in the original production of Ragtime, and has been featured in the First National Tours of The Producers, Cabaret, Ragtime, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, where he understudied Donny Osmond. A five-time Jeff Award nominee and an After Dark Award recipient, Bernie recently made his debut at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, as Bogdanovich in The Merry Widow.

Other local credits include Corny Collins in Hairspray, Roger Debris in The Producers, Pharaoh in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast, Albert Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie, Eddie Ryan in Funny Girl, Harry Houdini in Houdini, and The Genie in Aladdin, all at Marriott Theatre; Elliott Garfield in The Goodbye Girl, MC in Buddy Holly, Max in Superman, Jester in Once Upon a Mattress, and Dick in Dames at Sea at Drury Lane; The Visit at the Goodman Theatre; Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Horton in Seussical at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre; the premiere of Loving Repeating at MCA/About Face; and several roles at Candlelight Dinner Playhouse.

Later this year he will take on another Robert Preston role, when he plays Harold Hill in The Music Man at the Marriott. Bernie is so happy and honored to share the stage with his dear friend Heidi, and he dedicates this performance to his parents, who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year. They did, they did!

Heidi Kettenring

Heidi Kettenring is thrilled to return to Theatre at The Center to "remarry" her dear friend Bernie in I Do! I Do! Other TATC credits include Patsy in Always Patsy Cline, Annelle in Steel Magnolias, Audrey in Little Shop Of Horrors and Doris in Here’s Love! Heidi opened and closed Chicago’s production of The Broadway musical Wicked as Nessarose. Regionally she has worked at Marriott’s Lincolnshire Theatre, Court Theatre, Drury Lane Oakbrook, Northlight Theatre, Theatre At The Center, Drury Lane Evergreen Park, Peninsula Players, Bar Harbor Theatre, American Theatre Company and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and she spent a year on tour with Disney’s Beauty And The Beast understudying Belle.

She has sung concerts at Chicago’s Millenium Park , and at Ravinia Festival as well as with the Pensacola and Chicago Symphony Orchestras. Heidi is the recipient of the 2005 Sarah Siddons Chicago Leading Lady Award, an After Dark Award and two Joseph Jefferson Nominations. Proud NU alum and AEA member! Love to her husband, David!
